OUR WORLD MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS ARE FAIRLY-TRADED WHEREVER POSSIBLE

Ethically Traded World Musical Instruments At Excellent Prices
All available to mail order

ALL our instruments are fairly traded wherever possible, as we endeavour to supply quality, ethical products at fair prices,
supporting not only world-wide fair trade but also British instrument-makers.
Not only do we consider fair-trade to be an important issue, but we also do our best to ensure that instrument materials are sustainably sourced -
hence we aim to avoid the use of non-sustainable hardwoods and, of course, all natural animal-derived materials are strictly bi-products.
Our ethics are important to us, as fair trade should mean fair to the environment as well as to our producers AND customers.
If you have any questions regarding our ethical policies please do not hesitate to Contact Us.

 'Dragonfly Moon' PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS

These wonderful, decorative and tactile instruments can all be played to accompany any sort of music but particularly compliment drumming and dancing.  They can be enjoyed as wonderful musical instruments in themselves and can also be utilized as part of complimentary 'healing' and space-clearing.  Rattles in particular are important shamanic tools which are much used in varying traditions for space clearing, 'healing' and energy work as they carry the potential of changing and re-directing 'energy' flows & clearing 'blockages' very quickly when used with clear, focused intention.

Our varied and colourful range of fair-trade rattles and other exciting percussion instruments come from varied locations such as Bali, India, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Malawi, The Ivory Coast, Kenya, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico and the USA...

 OTHER INSTRUMENTS

TIBETAN SINGING BOWLS, BELLS & CYMBALS:

Singing Bowl.jpg (63786 bytes)Singing Bowls are played by holding the bowl in the palm of one hand and the wooden beater in the other.  With a fairly firm yet even pressure rub the wooden beater (using about half-way up it) clockwise around the outside edge of the rim of the bowl.  As you rotate the beater around the outside rim of the bowl, maintaining an even pressure and speed, the friction created will make the bowl start to vibrate and 'sing'.  Keep playing smoothly, allowing the sound of the singing bowl to build up slowly as the vibration increases.

Traditional HAND BEATEN FAIR-TRADE TIBETAN SINGING BOWLS of various sizes, complete with wooden beater
(sizes vary and hence bowls are priced accordingly due to weight - we currently stock bowls from 250g - 950g and prices range from £25.00 - £65.00
