Since
our last full news we officially launched our new music CD ‘FULL CIRCLE:
Songs of Change & Inspiration’ with a successful, energetic concert at
the Cornwall New Age show in Perranporth last November where a good time was had
by all – so much so we’ll be back there later this year with another full
Friday evening concert! (Highlights
of 2006's gig included a ‘bronze age’ song on amazing replica instruments
made by our good friend, bronze craftsman Neil Burridge – scroll down for pics
or see Links page!)
So far we have had fantastic feedback concerning our new album so many
thanks to everyone who has commented! It
is, of course, still available to mail order if anyone would like a copy - just
drop us a line (Contact Us), or you can pick one up
from us at any of the events this year or from a growing number of shops (e.g.
in Glastonbury!), along with ‘TIDES’, (our previous album which is due to be
reprinted imminently as we are almost out of stock!) and ‘Earth Dreamers’,
(from 2004, now well into its second print run!) – it’s funny how each
album takes on a life of its own! As
far as music goes, so far in 2007 we have launched a secondary ‘myspace’ website,
complete with sound clips from ‘FULL CIRCLE’, so do take a look and if any
of you are part of the weird & wonderful ‘myspace’ world then be sure to
send us a friend request!
www.myspace.com/scottjasper We
have also begun our ‘SONGS of CHANGE & INSPIRATION’ 2007 concert tour
which kicked off in February with a pre-sold out benefit concert in Cornwall, so
thanks to all who came and danced, sang and helped raise money for the Sepilok
Orangutan Appeal. We have already
played a few gigs so far as part of this tour, including recently on the Isle of
Man, and we have many more to go including the BELTANE BASH in London in May and
the FULL MOON GATHERING at Glastonbury Chalice Well on 1st June where
we are offering an intimate open air set beneath the stars and the sacred Yew
trees in the illuminated gardens (a rare chance to visit the sacred well at
night, don't miss it!). We will also
be performing on Saturday night at QUEST this year along with Seize the Day and,
of course, at Bill Harrison’s HEALING WEEKEND in July. Other
music highlights this year include the RIVENSTONE sacred world music festival on
Dartmoor Workshops-wise
Scott has a full programme of drumming workshops for this year which are going
extremely well so far! In addition
to his full day workshops he is also offering more half-day African drumming
sessions and is, of course, still giving lectures & taster workshops at the
festivals we are attending this year.
(See Workshops
and Diary of Events pages for full
details!) He is also both offering and undertaking more work in
schools this year so do let us know if your local school would like some
drumming! You
may be pleased to hear that we have some new fair-trade musical stock-lines
for 2007… in particular new ranges of percussion and woodwind instruments
from Peru and Bali as well as a new range of hand-selected Singing Bowls and
Blue Deer Spirit Flutes, with more new instruments to follow later this summer.
And once again we are delighted to say that the majority of our prices
are remaining stable - in fact a few have dropped just a little! On
a more personal note we enjoyed another wonderful winter trip to the
breathtaking NW Scottish Highlands including a visit to the most westerly point
on mainland Britain which was which was fantastic, although we haven’t stopped
working since we got home!! Although,
whilst offering both a workshop and concert recently on the Isle of Man we
did manage to find a little time to explore and discovered a beautiful, magical
Isle, well worth the boat trip! Our
time on Manannan’s Isle was a real success and we are pleased to say that we
have been invited back so a further trip is pending for spring 2007! So,
we wish you all a wonderful, warm summer
and look forward to catching up with you at many of the summer events this year
– remember to stop by our stand to say hello & play with some of our new
instruments! See
you all soon,

AUTUMN / WINTER 2006-07 NEWS Bright
Autumn Blessings to you all!

inspiration SEE
Music CDs page
On a personal note, we are planning a bit of time out over the winter to pursue new projects (details to follow!!) and Susan has now commenced studying for her Masters Degree (MA) in Celtic Studies, hence she is appearing a bit less at drum circles in order to keep up with her reading…! We have had a wonderful year and it has been fantastic to see so many of you at events over the summer & autumn; highlights for us, of course, were Quest & Bill Harrison’s Healing weekend, both of which we will be appearing at again next year, as well as performing acoustic sets in a bronze age style roundhouse on Bodmin Moor as part of Bronze Age sword making Weekends, which we will also be doing again next year! (See Links page) We were also welcomed very warmly at new shows for us this year such as Cambridge & Cheltenham, so thank-you!
Thank you all so, so much for all your support & enthusiasm during 2006
With
Many Bright Wishes, SCOTT & SUSAN

Summer
Greetings to you all! We
have been busy working on our new album: “FULL
CIRCLE: Songs of Change & Inspiration”
which is due for release during early autumn 2006 – full details to follow
with
our next news! We will,
however, be performing a selection of new tracks at concerts this summer,
particularly at our Friday evening slot at Quest this year (9-10pm), so do let
us have your feedback! We will be
performing alongside Kangaroo ‘Celtic’ Moon at Quest so it promises to be a
good night! As
far as our existing CDs are concerned, we are pleased to be able to tell you
that ‘EARTH DREAMERS’ is practically sold out and is currently undergoing a
new print run in time for the summer shows.
We are
still receiving wonderful feedback on this album as well as on ‘TIDES’, so
thanks to everyone for your kind comments, some of which (with permission!) have
found their way onto the REVIEWS page of our website.
We look forward to finding out your new favourites later in the year! We
are also re-releasing our new-look shamanic journeying CD this summer,
re-recorded with an extra track (a wooden flute piece to ‘set the scene’), a
new power dance and new cover designs, so look out for that on our stand, or you
can mail order it at £8.50 plus £1.00 P+P! Our
spring solo concerts, (we are pleased to say!), both went very well & we
have a couple more planned for the autumn: an intimate gig at The Isbourne
Foundation, Cheltenham on 17th Nov plus a solo evening at the
Cornwall New Age Festival on 24th Nov. Naturally we would love to see some of you there! In the meanwhile, however, do try & get along to the best of the
summer festivals: Quest in Devon runs from 6-9 July and Bill
Harrison’s Healing Weekend in Somerset runs from 14-17 July.
We are performing Friday evening at both of these events as well as
running daily workshops, some of which are FREE (so remember to bring your drums
along!). Bill's weekend is also the only
remaining chance this year to attend one of Susan's workshops as she is taking a
step back from workshops to pursue further study, so don't miss out! We will also be back in
Penzance at the start of August & at many more events throughout the summer
& autumn - see Diary of Events page for more
information. As
far as drumming workshops are concerned, we have three full day workshops
coming up which are now taking bookings: one at the end of Bill Harrison’s
Healing Weekend in Somerset following the success of last years day (17
July); one in Illogan, Cornwall, (30 Sept); & a third one in Cheltenham (18
Nov). Full details are on the workshops
page. And
finally we are endeavouring to keep our website up to date with new stock,
workshops & events so do take a look around and remember to call back
regularly! We do have some new percussion instruments now in
stock as well as more Kambala djembes; so do stop by our stand at any of the
shows you may come along to and say hello! With
solstice blessings & all good wishes for the summer,
Bright Blessings for 2006 to you all! We are
freshly back from our wonderful winter trip to the Scottish wilds, Our main news
is regarding our SPRING CONCERTS. We are, for the first time, putting on
full evening concerts. We are
very excited about these evenings which will enable us to perform the range
of our music more fully. We will be following these concerts up with various festival
performances throughout year and more solo gigs in the Autumn, details to
follow.... We are pleased to say that we now have Blue Deer Spirit Flutes in stock in varying keys and woods, all made by hand here in the UK, and all sounding beautiful! We have other new stock-lines coming soon including some new shakers and later in the year we hope to launch a full online catalogue of our range of musical instruments, details to follow... Workshops-wise we have many yet to confirm for the year ahead, although spring venues for drum & voice workshops in Cornwall, Somerset & the West Midlands are already confirmed and taking bookings - see workshops page for full details. We have had a fantastic response to our February Cornish workshop which is already fully booked, but we are also offering a second date in May. We are continually asked for workshops further a-field than our usual southwest venues and in response we are offering a full day workshop in Wolverhampton at the end of February, with other dates further a-field to be confirmed later on. Susan is largely taking a break from shamanic workshops & tuition in 2006 in an attempt to create more time for writing on the subject (!) but she will be offering a handful of one hour workshops and lectures at selected shows, so keep an eye on the Diary of Events page. There will, however, be many drumming & singing workshops this year, both at festivals/exhibitions as well as more half and whole day workshops led by both of us later on in the year. Once again, keep an eye on the website for further details or await our next news! Our music CDs are now available in several shops in the south of England, including Growing Needs Bookshop in Glastonbury, The Crystal Chalice in Launceston, Crystal Sense in Blanford Forum, Evolution in Exeter and more.... But, of course, you are still welcome to mail order items direct from us! We hope to
catch up with many of you during the spring - we will be at the Kempton Park
& Brentwood MBS shows over in the east as well as Chepstow, Cardiff and, of course, Axminster & Penzance!
** NEW!

Autumn 2005 news Things
have been going very well for us over the Summer, particularly with our new
album, ‘TIDES’, and we would like to thank everyone who has given us such
wonderful & positive comments about both our music & our recent
performances. We really do
appreciate feedback, its very encouraging, so thank-you! Highlights for us in recent months would have to be our Quest performances & workshops and Bill Harrison’s Healing Weekend, particularly the wonderful Monday workshop which we ran with such a lovely group of people. We have many more events lined up for the Autumn, including shamanic workshops – two evenings plus one full day titled ‘Ancestral Voices’ (£25, see workshops page for full details), followed by a separate evening workshop of shamanic chants: "Songs Of Earth & Spirit" (£6, again see workshops page). These are to be held in Somerset near the Devon Border in an intimate space, so places are limited... do contact us soon if you would like any more information or to book. We
are also attending the
Faery,
Angel & Healing Fayre in Penzance on the Sunday to run a special workshop on
Morgan Le Fay…. (hope to see some of you there!), as
well as running two more full day drumming & singing workshops this year –
Wild Drums, Strong Voices in Cornwall in October & The Many Rhythms Of The
Drum - A Celebration in Axminster, Devon in early December.
Both are almost full so be quick! Upcoming concerts include an evening in Blanford Forum, Dorset along with Tim Wheater & Neil H (call 01258 455175 for tickets) as well as a Friday Evening at Cornwall New Age, Perranporth, (daily workshops & performances too!) along with The Daughters Of Gaia. Hopefully we will see many of you there at the last festival of the year! (always a great weekend!) We will also be giving lunchtime performances at many of the Autumn indoor exhibitions. New
products in our ever expanding range of fair-trade world instruments include
beautiful Celtic Songstone ocarinas from Buxton, UK; Egyptian Riqs & Sagat;
Malawi calimbas with gourd sound boxes; Plain wooden Balinese didgeridoos exclusive to
Dragonfly Moon, as well as fantastic Bamboo & pitched Agave Wood didges
direct from Israel. We also now
stock the fantastic Kambala djembes from Africa’s Ivory Coast, along with
caxixi shakers. The Kambala djembes have a
fabulous sound and are made from the fast growing Iroca wood.
There are many sizes and types are available to order, just contact us
for details as usual. We have also
re-sourced our two smaller sized Ghanian djembes so are now able to offer them at a
cheaper price, which is good news for all. And finally, we are
also in the process of purchasing some wonderful wooden North American style
wooden flutes made by Blue Deer Spirit Flutes which will be available later in the Autumn. Lastly,
we are planning two main things for the coming winter…
Summer 2005 News: Our
fantastic new news is that our new album, ‘TIDES’ is finally available! TIDES
comprises of sixteen full tracks of original music comprised of vocals, guitars,
djembes, frame drums, dumbeks, bodhran, didge, mandola, wooden flutes, tin
whistles & a whole host of percussion instruments.
Its music reflects the natural ebb and flow of life, inspired by the
natural cycles of the land & coloured by our own personal experience of
harnessing these tides, We
are currently rehearsing for our upcoming gigs – catch us on Friday evening at
Quest, alongside Nigel Shaw, Carolyn Hillyer & Kangaroo Moon; at the Grimstone Manor Summer Gathering
with Riven & Praying For The Rain and at the Bill Harrison
Healing Weekend Concert. They are all great events with lots of good
music & much more besides! Shows,
exhibitions & other events are all going well and all the big Summer
festivals are still ahead of us! We are running various short workshops at
many of the upcoming events, including daily drumming workshops at Quest,
each with a different theme. (See diary of events
page.) Our full day Axminster workshop was a fantastic day and plans are afoot to run another full
day workshop there in December. We are very much looking forward to the
other varied drumming workshops we are still to run this year, including Earth
Rhythms at Bill Harrison’s Healing Weekend in July and a Wild Drums,
Strong Voices day in Cornwall in October. Susan
is also planning an exciting Ancestors workshop (details now
available on
workshops
page), but
is otherwise concentrating much more on both music & writing, so the full
weekend workshops she was planning will now be sometime next year.
She is still working on a one-to-one basis (on a tuition level as well as
shamanic healing & soul retrieval) so do make contact if you would like more
information on this area of her work. Good news is that she has an article on Animal Guides coming
out in the next issue of One Source Magazine (July/August issue) as well
as a regular column on the medicine wheel & the turning year beginning in
the same edition. She has also started work
on her book... an exciting new project which we will naturally you posted about, but she is happy to let it
evolve at its own pace! We
have updated the website recently so do take a good look around,
Spring
2005 News: We are currently in the midst of recording our new album, the follow up to ‘Earth Dreamers’. It's called simply ‘Tides’, and will feature both of us this time, performing more full songs as well as some new chants & instrumental pieces. We are really excited about this new release, and can't wait to start performing it! It will be available sometime in June - naturally we'll keep you posted! We will be performing much more at the shows this year, and are planning some concerts for later on... Scott’s
recent musical collaboration with Medwyn Goodall titled ‘Tribal Nation’,
is now available. For full details see Music CDs
page. It is available directly from us via mail order at £12.00
(including P+P), or from our stand at any of the up-coming shows &
exhibitions, where it will be at the usual price of £11.00. Our Spring full day workshops at the Axminster Awareness Centre, Devon, have already been a resounding success! THE SILVER BRANCH in February was a great, inspiring day for all who took part and was actually over-subscribed, so apologies to those of you we had to turn away. (Other shamanic workshops to follow!) In May we are running a WE ARE ALL DRUMMERS workshop at the same venue, which is fully-booked already, so once again apologies to anyone disappointed. We can confirm, however, that we will be running an EARTH RHYTHMS full day workshop in Somerset in July, as part of Bill Harrison's Healing Weekend - for full details see the workshops page (bookings via Bill). And also still to come is another drumming workshop, WILD DRUMS, STRONG VOICES in Cornwall in October (bookings via us), so there's still chance to do a whole day of drumming & singing with us this year! Naturally we are also running short workshops at many of the shows we will be attending. Please feel free to sign up to our newsletter if you want us to keep you posted - it's on the contact us page. Other new info is that we are pleased to have in stock some new lines for this year. We have sourced some better quality (but still budget prices!) Bodhrans, we have claves back in stock, Irish tin whistles, new ocarinas and more besides, including a fabulous new range from Malawi: baobabs, flame tree pods, wild fruit rattles, mini calimbas, spirit drums and more! We aim to update the instruments page of our site over the next couple of months to include full details of our stock lines and more photos, so keep checking back for new information! More news will follow once the release date for Tides is finalised, along with Autumn workshops. In the meanwhile, we hope to see many of you at the upcoming events & feel free to contact us if you wish!
Winter 2004 News: We would like to
take the opportunity here to thank everyone who attended the Cornwall New Age
Festival in Perranporth at the end of November, helping to make it a fabulous
weekend as always! We have been booked again to lead some of the W.C.A.D.E drum circles in Weston-Super-Mare early next year (see workshops page), and there has been quite a lot of interest in The Silver Branch workshop at Imbolc already, and we are very much looking forward to running it, so if you fancy starting 2005 with a burst of inspiration, see workshops page for full details! Finally, plans are being finalised to go a little further afield next year, in addition to all the usual local events & workshops, keep an eye on the diary of events page for details. We are looking forward to our final workshop of 2004 in Saltash on the 9th December which is now fully booked, and are currently preparing to retreat into the studio to begin recording our next album. So,
many, many thanks to everyone for all your ongoing support!
