 SCOTT JASPER
 

Scott is an innovative professional musician, composer, singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist.  Whilst specialising in guitar, drums and percussion (including kit drums, djembe, frame drum, darabuka, bodhran & cajón), Scott also plays piano, didgeridoo, high and low whistles and North American style wooden flutes.  He runs a private recording studio in a remote location in Scotland where he writes, records and produces his acclaimed, bold and insightful music capturing and distilling his passion for wild landscapes and ancient places; working both as a solo artist and as part of the duo 'Dragonfly Moon' with partner Susan Garlick. 

Scott has been drumming for over twenty years and is also a professional, highly-regarded and experienced workshop facilitator, well-known and loved for his genuine enthusiasm.  He leads popular and inspirational West African drumming and singing workshops around the UK in addition to giving informative lectures on musical pathways to  meditation, harnessing tribal musical instruments for health and well-being.

As a versatile vocalist and instrumentalist, Scott has performed across the genres of rock, soul, blues, dance and folk and has collaborated with a number of artists.  He has released two solo albums to date, four albums as the duo 'Dragonfly Moon' and has both produced and provided music for Susan's solo album.

 SUSAN GARLICK


Susan is a singer/songwriter and musician (frame drums, djembe, cajón & percussion), inspired by wild British and European landscapes and their ancient traditions.  She has studied the native myths, folklore & mystery traditions of Britain for over fifteen years and recently gained a Master of Arts Degree with a Distinction in Celtic Studies.

Susan writes powerful, uplifting songs and evocative earthy chants; recording and performing musically on a regular basis with partner Scott Jasper.  She has also released her own well-received solo studio album 'The Ragged Crows' and loves inspiring people to get out into the wild lands and interact with the magical power of nature.  Susan is also an amateur photographer with a range of photographic art cards of wild Celtic landscapes, capturing particularly the interplay between light and land (see art site www.slipperyjacks.com).
