As such, he offers informative lectures and leads a variety of inspirational drumming
and singing workshops around the UK which, centred on the use of African
djembes, bring people together to celebrate the magic of life and land through
the emotive and 'healing' power of the drum.
Scott holds
various musical
qualifications with the Royal School Of Music including brass, piano &
music theory and has previously performed in a variety of rock, soul & blues bands

'Exile Project' as well as writing, recording & performing regularly with
partner Susan Garlick.
He has also recently completed work on his second, quite different, solo album as
well as recording and producing a third studio album with Susan as
'Dragonfly Moon'.
Scott is

SUSAN GARLICK
BA (Hons); RL.SPD; IIHHT; SNHS
Susan
is a writer and musician (a singer/songwriter and percussionist, including frame drums &
djembe) who is
heavily inspired by the wild British lands and
their ancient shamanic traditions.
Having always felt deeply connected to this magical land
she has studied the native myths, folklore &
mystery traditions of Britain for a growing number of years and
aims to raise
awareness of our own native traditional lore, early literature, rich shamanic traditions and
inspirational wild lands -
reflected in her songs, chants and informative lectures.
As a trained shamanic practitioner she has also previously facilitated various workshops in addition to working on a one-to-one basis
within contemporary British 'shamanism', offering soul
retrieval, journeying tuition and power animal work as well as her ever-popular Celtic medicine wheel teachings.
(see British Traditions page for details of
her Celtic Medicine Wheel booklet)
Susan
is also an amateur photographer with a new range of photographic art cards now
available of wild Celtic landscapes, capturing particularly the interplay
between light and land. She also writes
uplifting songs and earthy chants - recording and performing musically on a regular
basis with her partner Scott
Jasper.
She holds a Batchelor of Arts (BA) with Honours Degree in English Literature &
Sociology and is currently studying part-time for a Master of Arts (MA) in
Celtic Studies, in addition to co-running 'Dragonfly Moon', recording a new
'mythic' studio project with Scott and working on her debut singer/songwriter solo album 'The
Ragged Crows'.
Susan is sometimes available to give lectures on ancient
British Traditions
(see also British Traditions page)
as well as to give either full or acoustic performances with Scott.
Please
contact us for pricing and availability.
PLEASE
NOTE:
For the foreseeable future Susan is taking an
extended break from
offering shamanic workshops, tuition & private sessions
in order to have more time to
concentrate on writing, music and further academic study.
It is likely she will commence writing and lecturing once she has completed her
Masters thesis in the next couple of years.
In the meanwhile if you have any queries about this aspect of her work &
research
please email in the first instance.
Scott & Susan are also available for
musical performances at private functions
such as parties, handfastings & other special events...
